My journey into counseling began at Georgia State University, where I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Speech Communications while competing on a Division 1 softball scholarship. As a collegiate athlete, I learned the importance of teamwork, the power of positive self-talk, and the perseverance needed to overcome challenges, values that continue to shape both my personal and professional path. The end of my athletic career marked a pivotal moment for me, leading me to a period of self-reflection and the opportunity to explore my identity outside of sports for the first time. This journey of personal growth ignited my passion for counseling, revealing my true calling to walk alongside others as they embark on their own healing journeys. As a therapist, I am committed to offering support through life transitions and stuck points, empowering clients to discover their strengths and live more fulfilling lives.
I hold a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Mercer University in Atlanta, where I developed expertise in trauma-informed care and narrative therapy. My work is deeply focused on addressing the psychological and somatic effects of trauma, utilizing evidence-based therapeutic methods to support emotional regulation and resilience. As a former collegiate athlete, I also understand how to work with athletes and support them through identity development and growth, athletic and life transitions and injury recovery work.
I prioritize building a strong therapeutic relationship and creating a safe and empathic environment where clients feel heard and valued. I uphold a holistic approach to treatment, recognizing that each client is unique and tailoring methods to meet their specific needs so each client I work with can heal, grow and thrive.
